Goals

This post is going to be brief.  Here are my writing goals for the next few months.

April 1st--Finish Revellent (about 10K to go)
May 1st--Finish My Ackilly is Killing Me! (about 25K)
June 15th--Finished edits on The Revellen (a lot of work)
June 30th--Self-Pub My Ackilly is Killing Me! as a gift for my little brothers.
July 15th--Send out queries for The Revellen
October 1st--Finish first draft of The Other Side of the Glass--(55K)
November 1st--Finished Edits on Revellent
December 1st--Win NaNoWriMo with Condemnation (50K)
January 1st--Set new goals.

It looks like a lot, but it's only about 140K.  There are still 10 months left in the year, which means I just need to write 14K a month, or 500 words a day.  This, I can do.

  2. You got this Sarah! That's great!

    My goals...

Finish Baby, It's Cold Outside (About 10K or less to go.)

Finish Prince's Quest (Not sure on the exact number for this one. Maybe 10-20K?)

Work on Chasing Shadows. (About 20K to go.)

Start edits for Baby, It's Cold Outside, or Prince's Quest.

Start writing one of my many story ideas. :)

(And hopefully by the end of the year, I can start querying.)

    1. That's what I thought too. At first I was like "there's NO way it can be done" but really, 500 words a day is totally doable.

  4. you are waaay more organized with your writing than I am. I just write and decide whenever I get done I'll edit and try to publish it. but i don't know if I'll even stick with my story until then, i'm so bad at it.

    1. I'm just trying to get myself to write more, and writing down goals really helps with that.

  5. totally off subject, but I just wanted to let you know that I am almost done with Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, and I was wondering (if you haven't already gotten it from the library or something) if you would like to borrow my copy. I just saw it on your "cannot wait for books" page, and thought you would like to read it :)

I won't have it done tomorrow, but by Friday I should be finished and can get it to you at drama.

Just let me know if you're interested :)
